MORDÁI stays true to their inspiration of the revivalists of the 60s and 70s Hungarian folk movements, while adding their original, dark rocky twist. The fragile beauty of folk songs are matched with runs of experimental jazz solos and visceral hard rock.
Since the band started, they have performed at several festivals in Hungary (Sziget, Campus Festival, Bánkitó Festival, Kolorádó, Fishing On Orfű, La Boum, Waldorf fest., Fekete Zaj, etc.), and have also performed in numerous clubs (Akvárium Klub, A38, Müpa, Uránia, etc.)
One of the great favourites of the profession since 2020, thanks to which they have been included in the 2021 Sound Occupation Programme's initial list of bands.
The orchestra has represented the Hungarian music front abroad at many prestigious events, such as ESNS in the Netherlands, Primavera in Barcelona, Moscow Music Week, BUSH Festival in Budapest and Budapest RITMO.
"The most daring voice of Hungarian experimental rock"
